Juian Alaphilippe will not be preset at the start of the Vuelta a Espana. The Etixx-Quick Step rider, who did a great spring (2nd at Liège-Bastogne-Liège and at La Flèche wallonne), told with his team and he decided to focus only on one-day races.
"With my team, we decided that I will focus on other races, such as the GP Plouay and Canadian classics", he explained according to Wielerfits. "We think these races suit me. If I have good legs, I will make my debut at the Tour de France in 2016. That would be fantastic !"
This season, Alaphilippe threw up his hands just one time. He won the stage 7 of the Amgen Tour of California, at the top of Mount Baldy.
