The 2014 season is over. The teams are already thinking about next season and the racing schedule of the leaders. Chris Froome, leader of Team Sky, already announced that the 2015 Giro d'Italia route suited him more than the Tour de France. According to the ITV, he also announced that the Oleg Tinkov's challenge, to compete in the three grands tours, not interested him : "I won't go for all three grand tours in 2015."
The mountain-heavy 2015 Tour de France offers a "pretty good route for me" – a positive spin, no doubt – but admits the 2015 Giro d'Italia route is "more rounded" and represents a "really good opportunity" for him to collect another Grand Tour victory.
The Russian businessman Oleg Tinkov would like to see the four tenors in major cycling tours in 2015 to compete on the roads of the three major stage races : Giro, Tour and Vuelta. He dreams of seeing Alberto Contador, Chris Froome, Vincenzo Nibali and Nairo Quintana compete in all three races. The team boss Saxo-Tinkoff offers for this a million in compensation. But they do not seem to want meet this challenge.
