Alessandro Vanotti will not have to undergo surgery and will be back in the peloton in the spring. This is the result of an examination that the Astana rider has undergone in Bergamo after he suffered a fracture of the left tibia plateau when he crashed while training with his teammates in Calpe.
It has now been verified that there are no injuries to the ligaments and this is a big relief for Vanotti. In a couple of months, he can start to ride again and continue the preparation that ended abruptly a few days ago.
