More experience and more victories are the goals for Nippo-Vini Fantini after they have announced the signing of two riders. Marco Canola will ride his sixth year as a Pro with the #OrangeBlue team and Alan Marangoni will come to the team after 7 years of World Tour experience.

The NIPPO Vini Fantini team is growing up and looking forward to the 2017 season. The signing of Julian Arredondo is already official and the two Italian riders are now arriving to improve the quality, experience and charisma of the team.

Canola has had 5 seasons as a pro, 2 victories, one in the 2014 Giro d’Italia and he has down two grand tours. After the USA experience in the United Healthcare team, he wants to have his chance, ready to help the teammates, but also able to take the responsibility of winning a race in the key moment of his personal career.

Marangoni will be a charismatic guide for young riders and an important support rider for the team leaders. In 2016 he was riding with Cannondale - Drapac. The 32-year-old veteran has spent seven years in the WorldTour, with 7 grand tours and 18 monuments.

Marangoni has been chosen by the Nippo-Vini Fantini team to support the captains and many young riders of the team and to lead them in the most important moments of the race.

Francesco Pelosi, General Manager of the team, welcome the new riders with these words:

"Marco Canola is a winning rider. He is 27 years old and he his looking for his final improvement. he is strongly motivated to win. He is a modern rider, good both for fast, short climbs and for a sprint. We will reach good results together. Alan Marangoni is a pillar for our growth, an important rider for our group, a great team worker that will be helpful for the leaders, but also to teach to young riders how to ride in the group. He will be the teacher of the young Japanese talents that have to learn a lot about cycling from such an expert rider."

The 2017 Roster is mostly defined and will be completed with Italian and Japanese signings. The goal is to grow, looking ahead to Tokyo 2020. The new team roster is designed to improve results, with the expected growth of the young talents already selected by the team.
