According to Spaziociclismo, Neri Sottoli are close to signing a contract with Italian talent Liam Bertazzo. Furthermore, they are seriously considering the possibility to sign former Astana rider Valerio Agnoli.
Neri Sottoli continue to be very active on the transfer market. While they are still waiting for the signing of Alessandro Petacchi who should be very close to joining the team, the Italian team is about to sign Liam Bertazzo, Spaziociclismo reports. This year the young talent has been riding for the MG.Kvis-Willier team, won the first stage of the Tour of Serbia and took several good results, including a seventh place at the European road race championships. Born in 1992, the Italian is also one of the best track riders from Italy which he confirmed at the recent European Championships where he finished second in the points ace.
Furthermore, manager Angelo Citracca has told Spaziociclismo that the team is also interested in Valerio Agnoli whose contract with Astana wasn't renewed. For the moment, the situation regarding the Italian is uncertain but he would certainly be an important addition to the Italian team whose managers are seriously considering all their options in the case.
