As happened yesterday, Bardiani got a new placing just outside the top-10 in the final stage of Dubai Tour that finished under the massive Burj Khalifa building after 123 completely flat kilometres. In the bunch sprint Nicola Ruffoni took 11th place.
He went out the last corner with 1km to go in 25th position but taking advantage from other trains he came back really fast and had to stop in 11th place, missing nearly the top-10.
Neo-pro Paolo Simion who had the white jersey earlier in the race, was involved in a crash with 40km to go and that forced him to quit the race. He suffered a knock to the left shoulder and was carried to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a dislocation. In this condition he won’t be able to start the Tour of Qatar tomorrow
