Ryan Mullen (An Post) has confirmed his status as the leading Irish time triallist by winning the 2015 edition of the national championships. The 20-year-old talent beat Eddie Dunbar (NFTO) and Martyn Irvine (Madison Genesis) into the minor podium positions.
Ryan Mullen has proved that he is one of the biggest time trial talents in the world. Last year he upset the elite by winning the Irish championships at just 19 years of age before going on to miss out on the U23 world championships title by the tiniest of margins.
Today Mullen confirmed his status by defending his TT title on the 37.5km course in Omagh, beating Eddie Dunbar and Martyn Irvine in the fight for the gold medal. The result comes just a week after he finished 6th at the European Games TT in Baku against some of the best elite riders in the world.
On Sunday, Mullen will line up as the defending champion in the elite road race
