The time trials will open a busy schedule of national championships for the Movistar Team, starting already on Wednesday 24th at Bogogno, in the Italian region of Piemonte, where Adriano Malori will try to snatch his third title after last year's win in Malè (36.3km, race start: 14.30).
Alex Dowsett will compete a day later, on Thursday 25th, at Cadwell Park (44.8km, race start: 17.00), looking to conquer a fourth national jersey that would make him join Stuart Dangerfield as leader of the historic table (the Essex rider currently at three). Friday 26th will complete the TT programme, with Jasha Sütterlin riding over the 45km course (race start: 16.00) in Einhausen - 7th place last year - and Gorka Izagirre, Jonathan Castroviejo, Imanol Erviti and Jesús Herrada going for gold in the Spanish city of Cáceres (45.5km, race start: 18h).
All road races for the telephone squad will be ridden on Sunday 28th, with Sütterlin (Bensheim - Einhausen, 204.8 km, start: 11.00) and Dowsett (Lincolnshire, 200.5km, start: 12.35) combining both TT and road race; John Gadret (Chantonnay, 247.4km, start: 10.35) showing up for the French title; and at least thirteen of the Movistar Team riders in the big contest of the Spanish Championships, over 189.5km (race start: 10.00). Absent Lastras and Lobato due to injuries, Igor Antón and Ion Izagirre will be in last-minute doubt; Castroviejo, Erviti, Rubén Fernández, Jesús y José Herrada, Intxausti, Gorka Izagirre, Javi Moreno, Rojas, Sanz, Soler, Valverde and Ventoso are all confirmed.
