Javi Moreno (Movistar Team) quicly had put an end to his participation in the 2015 Tour de Suisse after suffering a crash 300m from the finish of the prologue of Rotkreuz. Although the Andalusian rider could get up and complete the stage, his race has come to an end after he visisted the local hospital
"He has a cut of five to seven centimeters in the perineum. We do not know whether it is a result of the blow from the bike itself from the fences," says Movistar Team doctor Alfredo Zuniga, describing a wound that required five stitches. "The injury is in an awkward area, in constant contact with the saddle, which normally prevents him from doing this kind sporting activity, especially if we consider the rest of the week. Therefore we believe it is more correct not to continue in the race."
Moreno has taken a single victory in 2015 - he won another short time trial at the Tour of Andalusia in Coria del Rio - and has numerous places of honor in Castilla y Leon (8th), Asturias (9th) and Madrid (6th), in addition to an outstanding team effort in wins for Quintana (Tirreno-Adriatico) and Dowsett (Tour of Bavaria).
