Stan Godrie won C2 cyclo-cross race in the Basque city of Igorre. The Dutchman from Rabobank was faster than Spaniard Ismael Esteban and Italian Nadir Colle Dani on the sprint.
Lars Boom did his third race in four days and fought for victory until the final lap. The Astana rider had to let the trio go and finished fifth behind his compatriot Patrick van Leeuwen in fourth.
Next Sunday Boom will be in Valencia for his fourth and final race on Spanish soil. On December 26, he will be in Belgium for the first time at the World Cup race in Heusden-Zolder.
Boom was ninth and fifth in his first two races.
