Nacer Bouhanni won Halle-Ingooigem in a bunch sprint. We have already posted several reactions. Below we have gathered another two from Directvelo.
Jonas Vangenechten (Belgian national team, 8th)
"I felt a little soft. When the split occurred, I was in the second group. Luckily, we got back. In the sprint, I was well-placed but there was a sudden brake and I had to stop my effort. I could have done better, although I was not at the top. I hope to have recovered from the last big racing block on Sunday. Like everyone else, I think about the title. I'm in good shape, so with a little luck, why not take the jersey? I'm disappointed not to go to the Tour, but not frustrated. I understand the decision of the team, but when you are in the pres-election, wou are still hoping to be there."
Xandro Meurisse (An Post, in the early break)
"When you're in the break, you're still trying to stay away. It's good for the team, for the sponsors. I know the area, they are my training roads. It's nice to be in the spotlight here. At one point, my teammate Paulius Siskevicius, who was also in the breakaway, told me that everyone knows me here. On Sunday, I want to do like today. It's the only way I can be present. Maybe I can hang on in the finale, but the race is much longer."
