Matteo Montaguti enjoyed today's 10th stage of the Giro d'Italia which finished in his home city of Forli.
"It was a special day," he said. "I rode on roads where I train every day. I think I knew every roundabout, turn and even all the holes on the course. On the roadside, there were lots of people who have followed me since I started to ride my bike. I had chills all over the body.
"I was sorry not to be be in the break but tomorrow is a very difficult stage and I will do rverything to be at the fight. The breakaway was not caught and I did not want to take big risks just to finish in the top five."
