Michael Mørkøv will make the move from Tinkoff-Saxo to Katusha where Alexander Kristoff has asked the management to sign the Dane. The Norwegian sprinter sees the Dane an important domestique for the spring classics and as part of his sprint train. "I know exactly what I need to do. And I missed that at Tinkoff-Saxo," Mørkøv told Het Nieuwsblad.
In 2015, Mørkøv was set to play a similar role for Sagan in the classics and the spring but Mørkøv found the instructions unclear.
"Peter is a fantastic rider who does not know how to use his teammates. It is no coincidence that he became world champion in a race where he was almost alone," he told the Belgian paper.
