In 2015, the spring classic Milan-Sanremo will again finish at the famous Via Roma in San Remo. After a meeting between organizers RCS Sport and the city council responsible for sports, Sanremonews report that a decision has been made to return to the traditional finish.
The first of the five monuments last finished on the famous Via Roma in 2007 when Oscar Freire won the bunch sprint. Due to road construction, the finish was moved to the nearby Lungomare Italo Calvino.
The 106. Milan-Sanremo will take place on March 22, 2015. The course will be unveiled on Friday and is expected to be very similar to the one used for the 2014 race after the organizers have again shelved the idea of including the Pompeiana climb in the finale.
