Matt Goss will make the move from MTN Qhubeka to ONE Pro Cycling as the team continue to strengthen the squad in preparation for 2016.

The twenty eight year old Tasmanian has a wealth of experience on his side having kick started his professional cycling career in 2007 at the tender age of nineteen. Racing World Tour under Saxo Bank, Team HTC and Orica-GreenEDGE Goss has recorded a number of significant victories including winner of the prestigious Milan-San Remo, two times stage winner at the Giro d’Italia, second in the World Championship Road Race in Denmark and second at the Tour Down Under.

Goss said, ‘I’m really excited to join ONE Pro Cycling, it’s a new challenge and I want to make the most of the opportunity.

'The team have experienced a lot of success in their first year on the road and they have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming season. It’s not often you get the chance to join a fresh new team in which everyone including riders and support staff are motivated by the same end goal. I hope that my knowledge and experience will play a key role in helping ONE Pro Cycling achieve the best possible results as they move to Professional Continental level racing.

'Having spoken to Matt Prior and Simon Chappell I’m confident in the way in which the team has been set up and the support each rider will receive to help us perform to the best of our ability. ONE Pro Cycling are still on their way up and I’m sure there are a lot of good things to come.’

Matt Prior, CEO of ONE Pro Cycling said, ‘I am delighted that Matt will be joining the team as we make the move to Pro Continental level. We believe we can support Matt in reaching his full potential and help rediscover the form he deserves recognition for.

'The breadth and depth of talent in the team continues to grow with each and every new rider that we announce. Matt brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from the top level of the sport and we know he’ll help us in the direction in which the team is moving.’

From his own experience as a professional sportsman Prior will work closely with Goss alongside Sports Director Matt Winston and Performance Director Steve Benton to get the most out of his potential.  Matt Winston said, ‘I’m really excited to welcome Matt (Goss) to the team, it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to have a rider of his calibre become part of ONE Pro Cycling. We want to work closely with Matt to make sure he’s in an environment where he can return to his best and we are confident that during the 2016 season we will see that happen.’

The Tasmanian sprinter is the tenth new signing to be announced and will form part of a twenty rider roster which ONE Pro Cycling hope will ease the team into Pro Conti level competition.
