The competitive Sunday left two results which underline the strength of the Movistar Team's gamble for success in the Tour de France, starting on July 4th. at the Route du Sud, Nairo Quintana, protected excellently by all his team-mates, covered the final 166km route from Revel to Gaillac flawlessly to confirm his second place in the final overall classification of the Pyrenean race behind Alberto Contador (TCS). Enrique Sanz, well place leading up to the sprint, had to eventually stay content with 6th place - behind winner Bryan Coquard (EUC) - after having to fight against a final kilometer full of turns, roundabouts and slightly uphill.

In turn, at the Helvetic Confederation's capital Bern, Adriano Malori was 5th IN the decisive TT of the Tour de Suisse, a 38km route already covered yesterday and which the Italian TT champion defined prior to the race as "not adequate to specialists like me at all: lots of climbing, many turns, few straights." The Traversetolo-based rider initially clocked the best intermediate time after 21km against Cancellara (TFR), losing 15" across the line, before Dumoulin (TGA) and overall race winner Spilak (KAT) took him back to 4th. Winner Anacona was 15th in the stage and 19th overall.
