Miguel Angel Lopez needs to revise his plans for 2017. The bad crash earlier this month will force him to take a long break which will have a big impact on the winter training which often critical to the success of a rider. For the talent of Astana , however, there will be time to recover ahead of the Tour de France where he will share the leadership with Jakob Fuglsang.
The Colombian still appears serene and is eager to take revenge after the bad luck.
"After the accident I felt a bit sad, but I think part of a cyclist's life,” he said in an interview with Velo-Club du Net. “Now I have to recover and think about the future. It will definitely affect my preparation, but I was lucky not to crash during the season. I hope to return to racing in March.”
Last year’s performance which included victories in the Tour de Suisse and Milan-Turin, will boost his morale in this difficult time.
