After 14 years as a professional, Christophe Le Mevel has retired. However, he is not ready to leave cycling and in an interview with Le Telegramme, he has announced his intention to become a sports agent.
The former riders wants to create the conditions for the riders that will allow them to flourish. "I want to offer a package to allow riders to work with various partners and, above all, with a coach that suits them perfectly," he said. "I want to offer a more thorough follow-up, based on a long relationship. Ideally, throughout the entire career. And I speak both of the monitoring of training and issues like medicine and tax because a career is short."
To realize his dream, Le Mével has to go to school for two years to get a diploma from the French Cycling Federation. Hence, he is expected to start his work in 2016.
"Above all, I want to still be part of it and use my expertise. I my head, I made a list of what I wished to have known when I was a pro and fortunately I think I have something to give."
