In the weekend, LAMPRE-MERIDA won't only race in Spain, but also in Germany, participating in the Cyclassic Hamburg (Sunday 21st August).
Sports director Orlando Maini will direct eight riders: Matteo Bono, Rui Costa, Roberto Ferrari, Sacha Modolo, Matej Mohoric, Manuele Mori, Luka Pibernik and Diego Ulissi.
The course of the German World Tour race (217,7 km) will be suitable for the sprinters, who'll have to look out for the attacks during the passages on the Waseberg.
"The Cyclassics Hamburg isfor sprinters, so the competitive level is very high and we will be ready to take up the challenge with the speed of Modolo, supported by Ferrari, Mohorič and Pibernik," explained Maini. "The route, however, also offers space for the attackers, both in the first part of the race and in the final.. We will have to be good, mainly with Ulissi, to be present in front. Rui Costa will start the season finale after the participation in the Rio 2016 Games."
