After two races in Lombardy (Coppa Bernocchi on September 14 and Coppa Agostoni on September 15), LAMPRE-MERIDA will move to Romagna wheere they'll participate in Memorial Pantani on Saturday.
Sports director Daniele Righi will lead eight riders: Mattia Cattaneo, Ilia Koshevoy, Manuele Mori, Przemyslaw Niemiec, Simone Petilli, Federico Zurlo and the two stagiaires Fausto Masnada and Oliviero Troia.
The race will start from Cesenatico and the riders will cover 189.9km, covering the climb of Montevecchio three times and the ascent of Longiano once. The summit comes 41km from the finish in Cesenatico.
"In our line-up there won't be a pure sprinter, that's why we'll need to approach the race with a fighting spirit, especially in the most demanding part of the course," sports director Righi explained. "Each of our riders will have an opportunity to be protagonist and battle for a good result.
"The role of our most experienced cyclists, Niemiec and Mori, will be important in leading our young talents."
