The technical staff of Lampre-Merida has selected the 6 riders that will try to be competitive at the world championship team time trial. The sport director Matxin will count on Winner Anacona, Mattia Cattaneo, Roberto Ferrari, Nelson Oliveira, Josè Serpa Perez and Rafael Valls.
Winner Anacona showed a strong side of himself at the Giro d’Italian as he was the “Winner” of a stage in the race and for a long time was placed in the top 10. He must be counted with the most talented Colombians such as Quintana, Uran, Henao brothers, Duarte and Betancur.
The blue-fuchsia-green six men will represent four Countries: Italy, Colombia, Portugal and Spain.
Also the talented Nelson Oliveira will take part in the time trial and he will contribute with a strong TT, which is needed for a good team performance.
The team time trial is scheduled on Sunday 21 September on a 57,1 km course in Ponferrada: Lampre-Merida’s target is to do better than the 17th place in Florence 2013.
