In July, LAMPRE-MERIDA will take part in the Tour de France, but the blue-fuchsia-green team will also focus its attention on another very interesting appointment, namely the Tour of Qinghai Lake, the most important Chinese stage race which will take place from the 5th to the 18th of July.
This will be the second participation of LAMPRE-MERIDA in the Chinese race, whose course is very demanding as the riders will ride at an altitude of more than 1800 meters for most of the 13 stages and climbing mountains at 3443 mt (3rd stage, Xining-Qinghai Lake), at 3760 mt (4th stage, Xiahizhen-Gonghe), at 3777 mt (6th, Gonghe-Guide) and at 3530 mt (7th stage, Guide-Xunhua).
Sport director Bruno Vicino will lead young team with Mattia Cattaneo, Mario Costa, Taiwanese star Feng Chun Kai, Ethiopian champion Tsgabu Grmay, Ilia Koshevoy, Luka Pibernik and local Chinese star Xu Gang.
