The recent results of Trofeo Laigueglia are painted in blue-fuchsia-green: in 2013, success for Filippo Pozzato; in 2014, victory for Josè Serpa.
LAMPRE-MERIDA will try to extend this winning series in 2015. The task is not simple, but sport director Daniele Righi will rely on strong riders.
In the team there will be Niccolò Bonifazio, Davide Cimolai, Valerio Conti, Kristijan Durasek, Ilia Koshevoy, Manuele Mori, Przemyslaw Niemiec and Luka Pibernik.
"The course of the Trofeo Laigueglia could be suitable for various solutions and I think we'll be ready to face each of them," Righi explained. "Cimolai, Koshevoy and Pibernik will be ready to join the breakaway in the early part of the race. It's important to avoid to miss large attacks, because it would change the way you approach the rest of the course.
"Mori and Durasek will have chances in the second part of the race, as Niemiec and Conti will have the opportunity to join attacks in the final kilometers.
"Bonifazio is our fastest rider: he'll race on his hometown roads, he strongly wants to achieve a top result and, if the race will end in a sprint, he'll be there battling."
