Michal Kwiatkowski will be one of the favorite for the next Elite men's road race at the World Championships in Richmond, Virginia. But the Polish rider would like to win the team time trial on Sunday in order to give a "gift" to Etixx-Quick Step.
He will leave the Belgian team at the end of the season. Some rumors announced that he will sign with Team Sky.
“It doesn’t that I’m leaving the team,” Kwiatkowski told Sporza. “I want the world title in the team time trial to take as a parting gift of this team. We trained together already in Belgium and that was important. It was a learning experience to train together at high speed. The data we gathered will certainly help us move forward.”
