Alexander Kolobnev's Worlds campaign has suffered a major blow. The Russian has sustained a shoulder injury in yesterday's Vuelta a Espana stage.
Yesterday during stage 15 of the Vuelta a España Katusha's rider Alexander Kolobnev crashed in the descent of the Puerto del Torno. The rider has got a right shoulder luxation. Fortunately, the X-rays done in the hospital did not reveal any fracture, but Kolobnev passed a bad night with pain.
Anyway, Kolobnev finished today's queen stage. An MRI scan on the rest day is necessary to determine which treatment he needs to undergo.
