Having already taken a stage win, Jure Kocjan (Smartstop) took the yellow jersey at the Tour of Utah for the second year in a row when he finished third in the uphill sprint on stage four.
“The first plan was to win the stage, and if it happens, it happens. But the first goal was to win the stage,” said Kocjan about the team’s plan for today’s race on the uphill finish. “We’ll just try to enjoy tomorrow, the circuit in Salt Lake. I think it will be awesome. It will be all day, full gas.”
Kocjan has a four-second advantage over three riders in the general classification.
