Iljo Keisse has offered himself as a possible partner for Bradley Wiggins who wants to end his cycling career at next year's Six-Day in Ghent. "I would love to ride with him," Keisse told Sporza.
World record holder Bradley Wiggins (35) will end his career next year and has said that he would like to do so at the Ghent Six-Day. That's great news for Iljo Keisse.
"It would be a dream to ride with Wiggins," he told Sporza. "I would love to ride with him. If he ends his career here next year, it would please me."
Wiggins has a special relationship with Ghent. He was born in the city. Twelve years ago, Wiggins won the Six-Day with Matthew Gilmore.
Tom Boonen is also likely to retire next year, maybe even at a Six-Day.
"Tom has been thinking about a Six-Day, but rather in Rotterdam," said his teammate Iljo Keisse. "That track is bigger than De Kuipke [in Ghent]."
This year Keisse won the Ghent Six-Day with Michael Mørkøv.
