You win a six-day race as a pair but what if you and your partner are not the ideal match? "I once had a teammate who did not dare to look into my eyes," said Iljo Keisse.
After the first day of the Six-Days of Ghent, Iljo Keisse praised his partner Michael Mørkøv. He is a dream of a team mate, but it can be different.
In 2012 Iljo Keisse rode with Australian Glenn O'Shea. "It was weird to ride with him," Keisse tells Sporza.
"O'Shea just did not speak. That boy was just very shy and found it difficult to speak his mind.
"When you talked with him, he often looked the other way, as if he was afraid to look into my eyes. It was weird to race with him. But in the end we won the race.”
