Team Katusha has secured its future in the classics by extending the contract of Viacheslav Kuznetsov. The Russian who recently finished 11th in the Eneco Tour, will stay with the team until tne end of the 2016 season.
The Russian WorldTour Team Katusha announces the extension of the contract with Russian rider Viacheslav Kuznetsov for the next two years (2015 and 2016).
"Last week Viacheslav did a strong race at the WorldTour Eneco Tour. He showed his potential and I can say in these two years the he has spent in Team Katusha, he has seriously grown as a rider. I hope that in the next two seasons Viacheslav will continue his development and will reach a really high professional level," said general manager of Team Katusha Viacheslav Ekimov.
Viacheslav Kuznetsov signed his first professional contract with Team Katusha in 2013, coming from ITERA-Katusha, a continental team of the Russian Global Cycling Projec. In the season of 2014 Viacheslav took a podium place at a stage of Tour de Wallonie, where he finished 7th overall, while in Eneco Tour last week he took 11th place in final general classification.
