Leif Lampater and local hero Marcel Kalz have extended their lead on the penultimate day of the Six-Day of Berlin. The German madison champions managed to take a lap in the big madison and defended their position in the small madison later in the evening.
With 259 points and an advantage of one lap, Lampater/Kalz are still in the lead while David Muntaner/Kenny de Ketele are second with 220 points and Danes Alex Rasmussen/Marc Hester are third with a points tally of 205.
"That was again an excellent racing day in a sold velodrome," organizer Dieter Stein said. "World champion Muntaner and De Ketele rode strongly but Kalz and Lampater still have the upper hand. Again it will be very exciting."
