According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Bobby Julich will leave Tinkoff Saxo team at the end of this season. The former American rider will stop his coaching with the World Tour team. He explained his situation to VeloNews on Monday, but a press release will be published in a few days: "we are agreeing to part ways next year".
In 2012, Team Sky announced that Julich would part ways with the team due to his admission to doping in the past. This departure is therefore in line with Team Sky's policy (re-asserted in the wake of the USADA Reasoned Decision and subsequent UCI/Lance Armstrong fall-out) of asking all current team personnel to admit to any past doping offences. After leaving Sky Julich worked as a coach for BMC Racing Team in 2014 before being announced by Team Tinkoff-Saxo as the team's head coach for 2015, however in August 2015 he confirmed that he would leave the team at the end of the year.
During his career, he won twice the Critérium International (1998 and 2005), Paris-Nice (2005), Eneco Tour (2005), Tour de l’Ain (1997) and Route du Sud (1997).
