It certainly wasn’t the most fortunate start of the season for Team Europcar, which debutes his year as a Word Tour squad. After Thomas Voeckler fractured his collarbone during a training ride near Adelaide just before the Santos Tour Down Under kicked-off, another rider sporting the dark green outfit, Fabrice Jeandesboz, suffered from a crash during GP Marseillaise and ended up with a broken femur.
While Voeckler is expected to finally inaugurate his season this week at the Tour Méditerranéen, Jeandesboz certainly won’t be that lucky as the tests confirmed a fracture of the greater trochanter and a long recovery period would be required before he would return to racing.
