With Paris-Roubaix in the rear view mirrors of all the riders the Amstel Gold race scheduled for Sunday April 14 will kick off the Ardennes Classics by taking the riders over the Dutch roads made famous by this historic race.
The hilly parcours will cover in excess of 250 km and includes the daunting Cauberg which comes within 2 km of the finish and traditionally acts as the final test to weed out among the pretenders. Among IAM Cycling’s squad for the race, Thomas Löfkvist, Stefan Denifl as well as Marco Bandiera and Martin Elmiger have been riding strongly of late and will be looking for opportunities to take advantage of any openings to sneak away with a Classics win.
IAM riders for Amstel Gold Race:
Matthias Brändle (Aut), Marco Bandiera (It), Stefan Denifl (Aut), Martin Elmiger (S), Reto Hollenstein (S), Pirmin Lang (S), Thomas Löfkvist (Su), Alexandr Pliuschin (Mol).
