Tomorrow, Sir Chris Hoy will be presented with the BBC lifetime achievement award in Glasgow at the British Sports Personality of the Year awards.
The 38-year-old track sprinter is Britain’s finest Olympian, with 6 goal medals to go with 11 World Titles.
After his phenomenal three-medal haul in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Hoy was given the Sports Personality of the Year award.
Hoy said of the award: “It’s a huge honour to be receiving the lifetime achievement award."
“I never thought I’d see my name alongside the likes of Sir Steve Redgrave, David Beckham, Seve Ballesteros and others who’ve received this incredible honour, and it makes it even more special to be receiving the award in Scotland.”
