The new pro continental team Aqua Blue Sports will begin its season at a WorldTour event, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
The Irish team has indeed been invited for the first one-day race of the WorldTour calendar and the staff has already announced the riders who will line up. Aqua Blue Sports will be ambitious because they have the runner-up from the last edition, Leigh Howard, in their ranks. The Australian will ride at home and try to do at least as well in the 2017 edition with the support of Michel Kreder who should be his lead-out man.
Team Aqua Blue Sport for Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race:
Aaron Gate (NZL), Leih Howard (AUS), Peter Koning (NED), Michel Kreder (NED), Larry Warbasse (USA) and Conor Dunne (IRL)
