Yesterda yHugo Houle became Canadian time trial champion for the first time in his short career.
Having finished the Giro, his first grand tour, Hugo Houle made use of his good condition to take his first Canadian champion's jersey.
"I'm really happy to have achieved this," he said. "It will be an honor to wear the jersey in Europe and I cannot wait. This title is the reward for much work and sacrifice. With AG2R, I could take another step and my participation in the Giro has done me good . I had put a lot of pressure on myself for this title. To win the road race on Sunday will be a bonus but I really want to make the double like Tuft did last year."
