With Andre Greipel opting not to compete at the Tour Down Under, veteran Greg Henderson is looking forward to being Lotto-Soudal’s main man for the bunch sprints.
"I'll have a crack, for sure," said Henderson.
The 38 year old New Zealander showed his turn of pace to win a bunch sprint in the Ster ZLM Toer in the build up to the Tour de France, an event both Greipel and Marcel Kittel attended.
"I've been in the leadout role now for three or four years, but I'm actually quite looking forward to it. I'll change my training a little bit, we also have Kenny Dehaes who is a very accomplished Belgian sprinter so between the two of us we will be looking after each other and trying to have a crack at each other."
