IAM will line up their sprinters for Sunday's GP Isbergues. The team hopes that Heinrich Haussler will be in contention for the win and gain confidence for the World Championships.
IAM Cycling is heading to the GP d’Isbergues on Sunday with a team of eight riders and is not hiding its ambitions. Eddy Seigneur, directeur sportif for the Swiss Pro Continental team, has strongly proclaimed the team’s goal.
“We are going to Isbergues to win. The terrain is perfect for fast-finishers and in all likelihood the race should end in a bunch sprint. The parcours starts off rolling over roads without any major difficulties, followed by a section of more undulating roads before tackling the final circuit.
"I can count on our specialists in the finishing straight such as Matteo Pelucchi, Vicente Reynes, Sébastien Hinault, Sondre Holst Enger as well as Heinrich Haussler. Haussler is going to participate in the World Championships road race next Sunday in Ponferrada (Spain) with the Australian team. Nothing could gain him more confidence for that event than playing for the win in Isbergues.
"And we will also have riders like Marcel Aregger, Thomas Löfkvist and Simon Pellaud who will be ready to work for the sprinters to get them in the best position for the final.”
Riders:
Marcel Aregger (S), Heinrich Haussler (Aus), Sébastien Hinault (F), Sondre Holst Enger (Nor), Thomas Löfkvist (Swe), Matteo Pelucchi (It), Simon Pellaud (S), Vicente Reynes (Sp).
