Having recently shown great condition in the GP d'Isbergues, Heinrich Haussler targets more success when he leads IAM in the Tour de l'Eurometropole. The Australian is suited to the four-day race which usually suits the sprinters.

Though formerly known as the Circuit Franco-Belge, the now christened Eurométropole is one of the last opportunities for punchers and sprinters to show-off their strengths before the end of the season, with only Paris-Bourges and Paris-Tours left on the agenda for October.

IAM Cycling will go into this final stretch feeling a certain amount of optimism. Manager sportif, Serge Beucherie unreservedly confirms the Swiss Pro Continental team’s ambitions.

“As always, we go to every event to animate the race at the very least, while working for an opportunity to take a victory.  Our mode of operation will be no different at the Eurométropole as well as Paris-Bourges and Paris-Tours.  We would like to take advantage of the momentum the team has in order to get some more good results.

"The races the team will do in Italy cater more to the strengths of riders who excel at things like the Ardennes classics, however, these races of northern France favor the punchers and sprinters more.  Heinrich Haussler scored a big result and morale booster with 3rd place at the GP d’Isbergues, so we are looking to see that the race scenario will work to our benefit, since we also have Hinault, Reynes and Saramotins in our ranks and ready to ambush.”
