Astana Pro Team will line up for its second day of Flemish cobblestone racing on Friday at E3 Harelbeke, bringing Ukrainian national champion Andrei Grivko to the start alongside a roster of strong riders fully prepared for the Belgian elements.
At 209 km, E3 Harelbeke rolls across many of the same roads the riders encounter at other races during the two weeks in the Flemish region of Belgium, with 15 "hellingen" scattered along the route. Featured this year are climbs up the Eikenberg, the Kapelberg and the Paterberg before the decisive and ultimate climbs at the Kwaremont, the Knokteberg and the Tiegemberg.
On good form following a podium finish at this week's Dwars door Vlaanderen, Borut Bozic will work together with Iglinskiy and Guarnieri, while Grivko comes fresh to the race following several days rest since his last outing at Milano-San Remo.
Astana line up for E3 Harelbeke:
Assan Bazayev, Borut Bozic, Andrei Grivko, Dmitriy Gruzdev, Jacopo Guarnieri, Maxim Iglinskiy, Dimitriy Muravyev and Ruslan Tleubayev.
