After finishing 15th in his debut in 2015, Warren Barguil will be back in the Tour de France in 2016. According to a report by Le Telegramme, the Giant-Alpecin rider will do a grand tour double for the first time in his young career since he will also be the start of the Vuelta a Espana.
Barguil has fond memories of the Spanish race. In 2013, he won stages 13 and 16 as a nep-pro and ended the race in 38th place. In 2014 he targeted the GC for the first time and finished 8th in the race won by Alberto Contador.
Between these two major events, the Breton also hopes to be selected for the Olympic Games in August.
Barguil is expected to start his season on February 17 at the Vuelta a Andalucía.
