Giulio Ciccone’s first season as a professional rider has finished. The young talent of Bardiani-CSF, winner of stage 10 at the Giro d’Italia , won’t attend the final part of the season which was set to include Giro dell’Emilia, Tre Valli Varesine and Il Lombardia. Due to fatigue suffered during the last week, the #GreenTeam management has decided to end the season.
“Ciccone has had a medical check a few days ago to understand the nature of his fatigue,” explained team doctor Giampaolo Benini. “During the next days he’ll have new checks to know more and to decide about the recovery path in view of the winter preparation”.
“We decided to end Giulio’s season just for precaution,” explained team manager Roberto Reverberi. “Of course he would be an added value for our team, but we prefer to let him rest and get ready for the 2017 season."
