According to Cyclingnews, German government is to present a new anti-doping law on Wednesday which will allow to sentence to jail athletes, dealers and doctors involved in doping.
The bill, which still needs to be approved by the German parliament, is expected to be put into effect in the spring of 2015. If it happened, athletes accused of using or possessing banned substances could be put in prison for up to three years, while other figures involved in doping like doctors and dealers could hear a sentence of ten years. It would apply not only to German citizens but everyone even temporarily residing in Germany.
