Team Sky has announced their squad for upcoming World Championship team time trial, to be held on September 21 in Ponferrada, Spain. While Bradley Wiggins is due to lead the team following his promising showing in Tour of Britain, Chris Froome missed the selection, reportedly to fully focus on the road race.
Wiggins will also appear in the individual time trial three days later, while Froome decided to skip both events in order to line up at the World Championship road race held on September 28 in optimal disposition.
In the team time trial Olympic champion from London will be joined by his countryman Geraint Thomas, two Belarusian powerhouses Vasil Kiryienka and Kanstantin Siutsou, former Italian ITT champion Dario Cataldo and Salvatore Puccio.
