He will join some of his former Agritubel teammates and manager Emmanuel Hubert who was the manager of his former team too.

"Emmanuel Hubert discovered me when I was an amateur," he said. "It's a great story to sign with him 10 years later. After my experience at AG2R la Mondiale, I wanted to discover a foreign team. There were good and less good things but I learned a lot, I have no regrets. Today, I feel, for the first time in my career, that I am ready try to make the race for myself. The sports management believes that I am capable of doing good things and seeking results. I'll give myself the chance. I often had regrets when I crossed the line. I want to give myself 2 years to do the job 100%. This is an opportunity to join the team and go for the win inthe races. There will also be great talents like Gianni Meersman or Dan McLay whom I'll be help. I gained experience at the WorldTour and I hope this helps the team. I also wanted to find a family atmosphere. I need to have this link with the team to move forward. I'm in a hurry to be there and to find people I have known in the past."

Emmanuel Hubert added:

"Maxime Bouet has reached very high level. The work he did for his leaders made him stronger physically and mentally. At thirty years of age, he needs to rediscover himself and make a new start in his career. I am sure he is able to deliver good performances and even win at the highest level. We already have a solid core of riders in the Fortuneo Vital Concept team. The strengthening with boys coming from the WorldTour that shone at this level is in line with our sporting project."
