After a successful period of racing, Caja Rural - Seguros RGA now hopes to continue the good streak in GP Internacional Beiras e Serra da Estrela. This is the first ever edition of the Portuguese stage race, consisting of three very undulating stages.
The first two stages include numerous hills to overcome but, most likely, both days will end in a sprint. The queen stage comes on the third and final day of racing. Here, the riders will finish on top of the 10 km long category 1 climb, Penhas da Saúde, which has an average gradient of 8 %. Caja Rural - Seguros RGA sends a strong team to the race with riders well suited for every stage.
Sports director Josemi Fernández said: “We bring a very competitive team for this race with Sergio Pardilla, David Arroyo and Jaime Rosón who can fight for the overall win on the final day. We also have José Gonçalves for the first two stages. However, our main priority is to do well in the general classification”.
Line-up:
Sergio Pardilla, David Arroyo, Jaime Rosón, José Gonçalves, Domingos Gonçalves, Ricardo Vilela, Ángel Madrazo & Eduard Prades.
