After a slow start to the season, Armindo Fonseca (Bretagne) showed that he has found his best legs when he finished third in the uphill sprint on stage 2 of the Route du Sud.
"This is a beautiful result," he told Directvelo. "Since the beginning of the season I have lacked results but in recent weeks, the feelings have come back.
"For tomorrow we will the Sepulveda card for the GC. In the last stage, we will rely on Romain Feillu because the course is not difficult enough for me. I will not hesitate to put myself at his service.
"I think about the Championships of France. The course suits me well, I hope to take a result with my good condition. I do not know yet if I will be at the Tour de France. The roster will be revealed after the Championships of France, but it would be a disappointment not to be there.
