The classics season may have started but that doesn't mean that the stage race riders take a break. While Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancellara, and Peter Sagan prepare themselves for their first big battles on the Belgian cobbles, Chris Froome and Alberto Contador ready themselves for their only direct duel before June's Criterium du Dauphiné. After a number of difficult seasons, the Volta a Catalunya has been revived and with a line-up that contains the entire top 4 from last year's Tour de France, they can offer what is arguably the strongest field for a one-week stage race this year.
When Gent-Wevelgem has finished, you can follow the final stage here. You can read a preview of stage 7 here and a preview of the entire race here.
