This year's Tour of Britain has attracted a strong field with lots of riders that use the race to prepare for the Worlds. The big favourite is defending champion Bradley Wiggins who is expected to crush the opposition in the time trial on the final day. To get there, however, he has to stay in contention in the queen stage where he will face tough opposition.
Versatile riders like Nicolas Roche, Michal Kwiatkowski, Leopold König, Ion Izagirre, Giovanni Visconti, Lars Petter Nordhaug and an in-form Sylvain Chavanel mix it up with pure climbers like Francesco Bongiorno, Edoardo Zardini and Sebastian Reichenbach, and so there are plenty of rivals for the local hero.
