Robert Gesink will not start in the third stage of the Tour de Pologne today. Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s front man heads for the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal after a tough Tour de France.
“I’m exhausted after my hard-fought sixth place in the Tour de France,” Gesink added. “That’s why I have to take some rest for a while, so I can prepare myself perfectly for the one-day races in Canada.”
The Dutchman won the GP Québec in 2013 and the GP Montréal in 2012.
